Over several days now i've had this message appear on my laptop

SMART Failure predicted on hard drive. Failure imminent. Replace hard disk. ...

My laptop will only boot up with either Active KillDisk or Dirks Boot and Nuke - both get to 98% of checking then fail, laptop shuts down and i'm back to square 1

can anyone help

"SMART Failure predicted on hard drive. Failure imminent. Replace hard disk." Kinds of sums it up. The fact that it no longer boots, and cannot complete ckdsk, pretty much means you need a new hard drive.

The link didn't list anything pertinent to SMART. Was there something significant to the link that a I've missed?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
