After I enter my password the screen goes black. The only thing I can do is bring up task manager and bring up certain programs from there, like itunes or internet explorer. When I try to bring something else up like "network connections" it will say it could not be found. I don't know if it's because that's how task manager is or if a have a virus. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Can you boot into safe mode via hitting F8 just after the BIOS Post screen?

Thanks man that worked. I was gonna try to go to safe mode but I forgot how. It took me to a screen and then rebooted the computer or something, I guess that's all it needed. Thanks again I appreciate it a lot

For the future you can try hitting control alt delete
going into Task Manager
go to File then New Task
then type explorer.exe
