am i infected?

1) Firefox
- when i open firefox browser, '16bit MS-DOS Subsystem' error occurs.
- Its says 'C:\PROGRA~1\Java\jre6\lib\deploy\jqs'ff..\..\..\..\bin\JQSNOT~1.EXE The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:0e 1f IP:0100 OP:ff ff ff ff ff Choose 'Close' to terminate the application'
- and when I choose 'Close', I can continue using firefox. however this still occurs whenever i open a new Firefox window

2) Microsoft Security Essentials
- cannot UPDATE for new definition
- 'History' and 'Settings' tabs cannot function

3) START/SEARCH/For files and folders
- wheni use this, a new window opens but I cannot do any searches

There could be more problems, but currently these are when i have discovered.....
