Infected with The Keys and Bloodhound

Our computer has been operating more and more slowly. Every now and then, our Symantic Antivirus program pops up a window saying it has found a virus, next screen indicates files which have been infected with The Keys or Bloodhound, and then Quarantines them. Then, once in a great while, the computer will close out and give me what I call the screen of death, blue background, white lettering (can't remember specifically what it says, just an error has occurred...). I'm just not sure how to go about determining the problem and fixing it. I would really appreciate some advice on the steps to take. Thank you!
