Today marks the beginning of National CyberSecurity Awareness Month. National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), conducted every October since 2004, is a national public awareness campaign to encourage everyone to protect their computers and our nationís critical cyber infrastructure.NCSAM is sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) in order to promote methods that users, schools, businesses, and governments need to do in order to protect their computers, children, and data. As you know BleepingComputer.com is a strong advocate of good computer practices leading to good computer security. As part of National CyberSecurity Awareness Month we will be posting numerous topics on how to best protect your computer and personal information from online thieves and malware. I also strongly suggest you visit the link below to see tips developed by the NCSAM initiative.
