911 and cell phones

I heard that all cell phones built in the last three years have GPS built into them so that if you dial 911 anywhere the 911 operator will know where you are. Does anyone know whether this is true or not? Thank you. Murrar

yes they have an option called E911 Location, you can turn it on or off in the security menu of the phone
