Hey BC,
I`m temporarily using an older computer whose CD-ROM drive went belly up. I bought one at a used thrift store for $2 and swapped drives. Upon booting the PC, It worked!

However, neither the PS/2 keyboard and mouse are working now. The USB ports are working fine, however. The keyboard lights blink while booting but do not allow me to go to BIOS.

I have taken out and put back in the CMOS battery twice -- the "Keyboard failure" error persists. The computer is running Windows XP SP2, and a USB wireless Internet adapter is still working.

Any pointers? Thanks!
