I have a HP Pavilon DV8110us when I boot it it gets to the window screen and just sets their the scroll bar below the windows icon just keeps scrolling nothing happens. I can get into safe mode and have run malewarebytes and scannned with AVG no virus reported. I tried to go back to a date that I seen that it was last running in the admin logs and it still just boots the same. i have removed several programs thinking they may be causing it I have also look on HP sup;port page and done all but the repair on the OS. I do not have the disk for recovery but i do have a windows xp pro can I use it to do a repair or not .. also any other ideas anyone can think of that I can try please let me know...
