My brother sent me an email with an attachment that is in a .docx format. I'm thinking that this a a "Word" file?
I do not have MS Word on my system. I tried Foxit Reader(latest version) as I use Thunderbird as my email client. I can't open the attachment.
Can someone please tell me how I can view this?

Thank you

I was just about to post the same link as Budapest.

I have also used the much smaller free viewer from SoftMaker:

OpenOffice from Sun prides itself on being MSOffice compatible as well.

Thank you all so much for your quick responses! I just need a small program that will enable me to view the few rare emails that come with that type of attachment. Whatever takes up the least amount of space just for viewing is fine.
Thanks again :flowers:

Although you may not need it now, I highly recommend you either buy(or "legally get") a copy of MS Office, MS Works, or download Open Office(its free) for future use. They really don't take up too much space or slow your PC down.
