A couple of weeks ago my desktop contracted the Antimalware Doctor virus.

Stumbling across the uninstall guide from this site (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antimalware-doctor), I went about following the instructions to remove it.

However after numerous tries it hasn't worked.

I have ran rkill on one occasion ten times before running the mbam-setup.exe, but still no luck.

Of my most recent attempts, when I do run the mbam-setup.exe, it will install the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware program but appear with an error message saying - MBAM_ERROR_UPDATING (12007, 0, WinHttpSendRequest) - but will let me perform the full scan. However - like many times previously - when my desktop restarts, the Antimalware Doctor virus is still there!

Anyone else had this issue, or can solve my headache???
