I have just installed a new Canon printer. It works fine but my computer will not boot up when the printer is switched on.

Windows typically may not boot...if new hardware is detected but unaccounted for. Often happens with USB devices which users have in an ON position at boot.

Solution is turn the device off, turn it on after the system boots.
