Hey guys,

I tried to research the forum to see if anyone else is having issues with this and Google has been no help for me.

Whenever I try to remove a folder, I instantly get the message "This folder is shared with other people. If you delete this folder, it will no longer be shared" and it gives me the option to continue or cancel. After I press continue, Vista takes almost anywhere up to 10 mins (usually 6-7 mins) to delete the folder from my computer. Eventually the folders are gone but its extremely frustrating to have to wait almost 7-8 mins each folder to delete it.

I went to Manage Accounts and I see

Kevin-Administrator-Password Protected
ASP.NET Machine Account-Standard User-Password Protected
Guest-Guest Account Turned Off

Is there anyway around this prolonged time to delete folders. Will removing ASP.Net account remedy this problem? Because the account/group it saying its being shared by (USERS) isn't listed under Manage Accounts. Also I noticed this doesn't happen with new files I put on my cpu. I can delete those folders instantly. However any file almost older than 4 months ago, I get the 7-8 minute wait time.

Sorry let me clarify...

I'm not trying to delete those folders. I'm trying to delete the subfolders it contains.

For example... I copied a folder of pictures from my camera into My Pictures. For some reason, that folder is shared and now when I go to delete it, it takes almost 7-8 minutes to delete (it says calculating the whole time). And its only like 30-40 photos in that folder.

Move them to your C:\users\username\pictures

the folder you copied to is probably under the public folders.
