Hi. Can someone please confirm if you see the same thing that I do on this site? I am already suffering a near nervous breakdown from computer virus issues ... I just wonder if I'm even on a legitimate site or if I'm being redirected to some fake Bleeping site.

On the page:
Preparation Guide For Use Before Using Malware Removal Tools and Requesting Help
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic34773.html

If you scroll down to the last line in #3, I see: post in all the forums at Bleeping Computer €ž .

What is with all of the symbols? It is kind of unsettling.

Thanks,
Sandy

It is in fact us. That is a forum software glitch that happens when some topics are edited. If you notice the topic has been edited.

Its a character encoding issue. This board currently uses Latin1 or iso-8559-1 while some people have their browsers set for UTF-8. When they add a UTF-8 character it displays as garbage under latin1.

Thanks Layback Bear. I can't tell you what a wreck I am ... I'm suspicious about 'everything' now. I feel like I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. So every little bit of feedback / confirmation sure helps. Now I was just going through the Preparation Guide and I see the graphic for the DDS.scr file and it is suppose to be 351KB. However, I just downloaded it; right-clicked > properties and my dds.scr is 513 KB. Of course my mind goes to awful places ... was the download intercepted and a fake file was downloaded? etc., etc., etc.

I know I sound crazy, but I have been at this for 3 weeks, haven't eaten, haven't slept and I've lost 15 lbs. I even formatted all three of my computers but I still don't feel safe even though I have run Norton Internet Security / Malwarebytes / SuperAntispyware / Ad-Aware / Trend Micro Housecall / Microsoft Live scan / Spybot Search and Destroy ... and everything comes back clean. 'Something' just doesn't feel right and it's ruining my life. Sorry, for the drama ... I just had to get that off of my chest.

Thanks for listening.

Have a great night.

And then, on top of that, I was going to download GMER and I see that the link to this file is very strange: http://redirectingat.com ....
