Hi,

I'm interested in finding out if my WRT54G Linksys Router is one of the Linksys "G" class that can use second party softwareto extend it's range?

I found these two sites doing a Google search: sveasoft.com or DD-WRT that offer such software.

So, is my router one that can use their software? If not which routers are compatible with this software.

I really would like to extend the range on my router, have a stronger signal. Thanks.

John

PS Any suggestions on what would be the strongest router for less than $150.00 would also be appreciated, but if the software above works that would certainly be enough.

Thank you, I found the exact page HERE that supports my router WRT54G version 8.0.

Now to find the time to read through all the steps involved to make sure it works when I do it.
