Windows update

When I am unsing internet explorer and I click on the "safety" icon on the toold bar I attempt to click on "Windows Update" and the next page that comes up says that "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"....any suggestions would be greatly apprectiate.

What happens if you go...Start/All Programs/Windows Update?
