I have a laptop running windows 7 - 64bit.

It has been infected by AntivirusGT malware.

I have tried running Combofix (which I have used to remove this program before) but it will not run on Windows 7 64bit.

What is the best way to remove this horrible program from a 64 bit Laptop?

Many Thanks for any advice given

This program now seems to be quite easy to stop running using Vtrl-Alt-Del then select AntivirusGT.exe and "Stop process"

When it is stopped AVG does not find any problems!

But If I delete this AntivirusGT.exe file the system will halt on next reboot.
