I can't seem to uninstall Opera 10.54 from my computer. When i go to the Add or Remove programs list and click on Opera 10.54 then click "remove" I get this message:

The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.
Insert the 'Opera 10.54' Disk and click "okay".
Use source: 1

I installed Opera 10.54 onto Partition C so, there is no other place it could be.
I am using Windows XP PRO.

Can anyone please tell me what I need to do to get Opera 10.54 off of my computer?

That message typically appears when trying to uninstall MS Office components.

How did you install Opera...what was the source? The message indicates that a CD was used and the uninstall files are on that CD.

System manufacturer and model?

I downloaded Opera from the internet. It was about 6 months ago and I'm not sure what website i downloded it from but it was more than likely Cnet.com (that's where I do most of my downloading from).

I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop.

Thanks,
Tara

Have you tried a program like Revo Uninstaller or Unlocker?

You might also try running the chkdsk /r command and then defrag your partition...the files may be in dire need of it.

If Revo and Unlocker doesnt work then you may want to try the following: Temp File Cleaner it will remove all your temp files and what not.
