Every time I try to play something in BBC iPlayer it causes Internet Explorer to crash - the tab closes and reopens (and goes back to the same iPlayer page). It does the same thing for ITV Player, but it is OK with 4od and Demand 5. These are all streaming TV channels in the United Kingdom. Except, sometimes iPlayer and ITV Player work. I have uninstalled Adobe Shockwave and Flash Players, and then reinstalled the most up-to-date versions. I have gone to "Remove Windows Components" and removed IE. I have then reinstalled it - I don't really know what happens there.

AVG finds nothing.

Everything works in Firefox.
I have Windows XP

Do you have any ideas - I have drawn a bit of a blank with Google - I've searched on something like "iplayer crashes internet explorer".

Thank you

Does the BBC have some sort of customer service for iPlayer? If you're not having similar issues with other video players then the problem is with iPlayer. You should contact them.

It does the same for ITV Player.

Also, there are no other problems with other PCs.

Those are available in England only. What about other players?

I have no idea. Can you give me an example of one that I could try?
Thanks
