I am getting the BSOD:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OF_EQUAL error with
STOP: 0X0A

when Roxio CD Creator is finished burning a disc (CD or DVD).
The program is finished.......the Disc is complete (I've checked the discs on other machines), but computer goes into BSOD and shuts down.

Computer is Dell Latitude Intel Core2 1.99GHz, 2.0GB RAM
OS is Win XP Home, SP3
Philips DVD+-RW SDVD8820 (suspect hardware/driver problem)
Driver (for above device): ver 5.1.2535.0 from Microsoft (7/1/2001)

EDIT: Removed bug report ~ Hamluis.

Hi , I removed your debug log...there's a better tool that is not as clumsy. Let's try this.

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html.

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When scanning is done, Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

Louis

Also, see, if you can use another burning program without any issues.
Try CDBurnerXP: http://cdburnerxp.se/

Thanks Broni. CDBurner worked for three data discs (so far) without crashing.

Did I say, I really dislike Nero?
Nothing more, than overbloated program.
How many of it its 1,000 features do you really use?
Not to mention its size. 1GB, or so?

Did I say, I really dislike Nero?

I don't particularly like that it crashes my computer either!
I rarely burn discs, so it's a rare problem, but I had to make a few copies of some photos today to give out, and this was giving me fits.
CDBurnerXP worked flawlessly (6 copies) - no problems!

No more Roxio for me!!!

If you want to make sure that it was Nero, I would get all the updates for Nero from Nero's website. Sounds to me like your copy of Nero is outdated/old which can cause errors on SP3 machines. Just thought I would voice my opinion even though you found a temp solution.

I rarely burn discs

In that case CDBurnerXP is all you need instead of humongous Nero.
