My sister gave me her computer after it was infected with malware which it still is. She is infected with antimalware doctor and others I am sure. While this is a problem its not the primary problem. Unfortunately she tried cleaning the registry with eusing free register cleaner. She said afterward she could not connect to the internet and and so tried to system restore the machine but could not. The operating system is vista home its an hp Pavilion dv6000. I checked the properties on the computer and noticed that service pack 1 had been uninstalled so I downloaded it on a usb and installed it back on the hp computer. I had previously asked for help but my sister had taken the laptop. I will post a link to that post at the bottom. On the network adapters in device manager I now have isatap with three exclamation points. The computer finds an unidentified network and cannot connect to the internet. The help would be much appreciated. Malware response team gringo pr has instructed me to send him a link of this thread and he would help me with the malware issue. I have a usb with four gb that I can use to download applications and try to run them on the infected laptop. Thank you in advance smile.gif

best regards,
carbs

Greetings

Good That cleaned up some bad guys but I see some other stuff that we need to go after, so I want you to run this custom script for me.

:Run CFScript:

Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the box into the window:

CODE
File::
c:\users\Owner\AppData\Local\uxucokuvomuyi.dll
c:\users\Owner\AppData\Local\okijiyerezuqah.dll
c:\users\Owner\AppData\Local\imotowuwuqecuz.dll
c:\users\Owner\AppData\Local\epiceloz.dll
c:\users\Owner\AppData\Local\usiqatuza.dll
c:\users\Owner\AppData\Local\ujuheqimezoc.dll
c:\users\Owner\AppData\Local\ihozoxuf.dll
c:\users\Owner\AppData\Local\epajoherafiqej.dll
c:\users\Owner\AppData\Local\afajefifinoh.dll
c:\windows\system32\drivers\crtwejr.sys

Driver::
crtwejr

DDS::
uInternet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:6522
uInternet Settings,ProxyOverride = <local>

Save it to your desktop as CFScript.txt

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe

This will let ComboFix run again.
Restart if you have to.
Save the produced logfile to your desktop.

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

"information and logs"
In your next post I need the following
    1. report from Combofix
    2. let me know of any problems you may have had
    3. How is the computer doing now after running the script?

Gringo

    • and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.

Hello

lets try this to get you back online, let me know if it works

Download and run WinSockFix. This is a two step process that will Back up the Registry and Reset the Winsock Stack.
  • Double click on WinsockXPFix.exe to open.
  • On the Winsock and TCP Repair Utility screen, click "ReG-Backup"
  • On the ERDNT Welcome screen, click "OK".
  • On the Backup to: screen, click "OK".
  • On the Folder does not exist question screen click "Yes".
  • You will see a status screen as your registry is being backed up.
  • On the Registry backup is complete! screen, click "OK" and you will go back to the main window.
  • On the Winsock and TCP Repair Utility screen, click "Fix".
  • On the Apply the VB_Winsock fix? screen click "Yes".
  • The screen will display a status message "repair completed please reboot."
  • On the Repair Completed screen click "OK" to reboot your computer.
  • If your computer was not using DHCP, you will need to reconfigure TCP/IP.
  • You should have connectivity restored.
If you have internet back come back and let me know if not go to next step

I am clicking on Reg backup but nothing happens. move to step 2? or should i hit fix?

after closing winsock i get an error box. run time error 53 File not found

it says winsock xp i don't know if that matters just letting you know

it says incompatible with this version of windows

I tried running LSPFIx and got this error.

Winsock 2 Registry key

(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock2\Parameters) is missing or could not be accessed.

Nevermind sorry LSPfix after running as administrator

Also before I forget the hijackthis log is legit v. 2.0.2 i just switched the 2 to a 4 so i could post it.
No changes necessary
