I was infected. Had many viruses. Used BC data base to research similar problems to mine and ran malware bytes and super anti spy offered from this site. It killed the virus apparently but now have no internet.-gone from start up task bar. Went to control panel-network connections. It is blank. Went to devise manager. It is blank. Rebooted PC-no change. Used super anti spyware program to try to repair stuff-no change. Tried system restore-no change. Any help would be appreciated. thanks John

are you saying that your internet explorer is gone or you just cant connect? If you can open your browser, look under the tools tab then internet options tab then connections then lan settings. see if the use proxy server is checked. if it is, uncheck it and you shoukd be able to connect.

i,ve been using computers for years but have had little trouble with any and now i'm willing to learn more aboout them. found this site when i was looking for a solution to solve my virus issue. last two times paid a shop to fix it. after spending most of my day sunday reading thousands of the data base symptoms and fixes i realized just how little i know. bk6151 you are the bomb. thanks for responding. i was so. frustrated cleaning off 70 + viruses yesturday that i ran out of gas. knew it was something simple but could not see the forest from the trees. i now can connect to the internet. any advise would be appreciated helping me get microsoft outlook working now as well. it loads fine but won,t send or recieve. asking for user name and password for the following server and don't remember them.
