Unfortunately the rest of this machine is definitely not clean. Before we begin I have a question to ask. Do you recognize this domain name: plansponsor.pscom ?

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad in order to assist you when carrying out the following instructions.

Viewing Hidden Files
Go to My Computer >Tools >Folder Options >View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing / visible. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files option.

Downloads
CWShredder- Run CWShredder and click on Fix (it will automatically fix anything it finds for you). If it asks if you want to delete a certain random file, choose No and post that filename here.
FxIstbar-Double click on it to run it and press Start to begin the scanning process. It will automatically remove anything it finds.
Cleanup! (Alternate Link)- Install it. You will use this later.
*NOTE* Cleanup deletes EVERYTHING out of temporary folders and does not make backups.
Ewido Security Suite
  • Install Ewido Security Suite
  • When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck..
    • Install background guard
    • Install scan via context menu
  • Double-click the icon on Desktop to launch Ewido
You will need to update Ewido to the latest definition files.
  • On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
  • Then click on Start Update.
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update Ewido
When you have finished updating, EXIT Ewido.

Reboot your system in Safe Mode (By repeatedly tapping the F8 key until the menu appears).

Running Processes and Add/Remove
Go into Hijack This->Config->Misc. Tools->Open process manager. Select the following and click Kill process for each one (If they still exist)(You must kill them one at a time).
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
C:\Program Files\Ppoo\Qlbp.exe
C:\Program Files\Xrufyn\Yfqpv.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\710eftgk.exe

Click > Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs and uninstall the following programs:

Viewpoint- ViewMgr.exe is an advertising program by Viewpoint. This process monitors your browsing habits and distributes the data back to the author's.
WebSearch Toolbar
WildTangent - This is an online gaming package that is installed by a number of third party applications and even OEMs, ISPs and AIM. The games aspect of this is really rather cool. The being installed without you asking for it isn't good at all. They collect information about you and your usage. We recommend uninstalling it, but it is your choice whether or not to keep it. If you choose to keep it ignore any fixes for it below.
Wirehog - I see you have P2P software (Wirehog) installed on your machine. We are not here to pass judgment on file-sharing as a concept. However, we will warn you that engaging in this activity and having this kind of software installed on your machine will always make you more susceptible to re-infections. It is certainly contributing to your current situation. Ill leave the decision to you. If you chose to keep it ignore any fixes for it below.
Weatherbug- This program is adware and I highly reccomend you uninstall it. If you choose to keep it, just ignore any fixes for it below. An ad free alternative is Desktop Weather
YourSiteBar
Spyware Hunter- This program has been shown to have questionable value as a spyware prevention program. See here for more information.

Services
Click Start->Run - type SERVICES.MSC & then click on the OK button
  • Locate the service - ZESOFT
  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog.
    • Under the General tab, note down the name of "Service name". We shall need it later.
    • Stop the service by using the Stop button.
    • Change the Startup type to Disabled & then click on the OK button
  • Then start HiJackThis & go to Config>Misc.Tools...> Delete an NT service...
  • In the popup box that appears, type in "Service name" & then click on the OK button
Repeat the above steps for:
  • WebSeach Toolbar support NT service (TBPSSvc)
  • WinTools for IE service (WinToolsSvc)
