I'm using free VLC Media Player

to play back my digicam video files but can't figger out how to make the vid playback speed remain fixed.
I open a vid clip (such as some football action) then select a slow-motion speed to analyse the action, select 'Continuous loop' then hit 'Go'.
It plays through fine on slow-mo the first time, but when it loops back to the start for the 2nd (and subsequent) playthroughs, the speed always reverts to 'Normal'.
So how can I make it stay on slow-mo for all the playthroughs?
