I restored my pc last night and for some reason like if im using a program like firefox or whatever if I try to open task manager it doesnt open. It shows the icon in the tray but wont open. Then if I try to open anything else the whole computer freezes. What could be wrong with it?

Hi Cows,

Perhaps your system files are corrupted?

Go to Start>Run and type sfc /scannow with your XP CD handy if required.

After running this you may need to run Windows Update to get back some updates.

hth

I did what you said nothing was wrong. I did however remove several viruses off the computer which was most likely causing the problem because it hasnt froze up since.
Thanks
