Firefox Crashing

I noticed a couple days ago that my Firefox has been crashing a lot. I ran Norton's and Malware Bytes but nothing came up. Now I'm getting this message:

This Connection is Untrusted... You have asked Firefox to connect
securely to www.yahoo.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

And that's not all.

Firefox has trouble loading web pages. It takes me a few tries before it'll load a page initially.

Can anyone offer me some advice on what the problem might be and any possible fixes?
