I have an Acer Aspire 5100 running Win-xp mce 2005 but have contracted a Virus "Win enhanced security suite" after several different attempts to regain control over my laptop I think I have partiallly busted the OS. I will request help with that when I have time to detail the problems and follow the advise given but for now,
Like many before me I failed to make a backup of the OS after purchase of the laptop now 4 years old and not supplied with Disc's
So can anyone recommend a safe place to download the above OS just in case that is my only repair option I have also contemplated Win 7 but would like to try this as a dual boot option does anyone know if my laptop could handle it. AMD Turion T64 1600 with 4Gb ram 120Gb HDD and 128 ATI Radion graphics
