Since I got broadband, when I sign on to AOL, at different intervals my buddy list disappears for a few seconds. Everything else continues to work, but it appears to other people that I have been disconnected. The problem does not occur with dial-up and when I took my computer to another location it did not happen. I also get disconnected from AOL at times when I am using it. I have a wireless connection and a Vonage router but the problem occurs even when they are disconnected. This is driving me crazy. No one at AOL has been able to help me. I have no way of knowing if it happens with Explorer because the only indication is the disappearance of my buddy list. Someone please help me solve this mystery.
