I had the worm/bagle virus, got rid of that, but now I can't open the registry in normal or safe mode. I also can't go open the help and support or the search window in start. When I open them they are just blank pages. I don't know if they are part of the same problem or a separate issue. Can anyone help?

I don't want to lose everything I got. Isn't there another way. If I back up the computer first won't the problem still be there?

Back up to a date just before the problem, and the only thing that should be effected is things added after the trouble. Example, If the problem started 11-05-05 then pick the restore point for 11-04-05 if it is available.
