Erratic audio problems

Hi . I am not technically gifted, I had to look up what 'OS' and 'CPU' mean.
About 50% of the time when I turn the computer on, everything is OK. Fairly (ir)regularly though the loudspeaker symbol is red, and I get 'no audio detected'. If I relance the computer, it is usually OK. Driver software is up to date. I haven't done anything serious to my computer recently, although I do watch TV on it sometimes.

Sorry about the delay in answering. The randomness of this has disappeared, it works all the time now. Strange phenomenon I thought. Hope it doesn't reappear.
