I tried posting a topic about my slow laptop with an older version of HiJack, but then I was prompted to download a newer version before I post my problems on the forums-- which is what I did, but now I don't have the option to run HiJack as the administrator when I right click on the icon.

Otherwise, I'm having problems with my McAfee anti-virus and SpyBot S&D. The system scans I do last about forty minutes to an hour or two, but at various points during the scan either of these programs seem to freeze. The results either show that I don't have anything wrong with my computer or I only have DoubleClick adware problem. Results also say that the scans took ten to thirty minutes long when they took a longer time.
I've also had McAfee randomly turn off the protection for "Computer & Files" and "E-mail & IM".

Please help?
