My name is Marty. I have been using computers since DOS 6. I have done some hardware support. I have also done some software support on several different software packages. I have never done Windows support.

I stumbled into programming in the late 90s and learned Visual Basic 6. I worked as a programmer for about 3 years until the .com meltdown. Since I didn't have a college degree I could no longer get work as a programmer.

I tried a number of different things since then including driving tractor trailers. I wound up going back to being a technician. I currently work on MFPs (photocopiers) and printers. My main function is to connect them to the network and set up printing and scanning.

To sum it all up, I guess I am a jack of many trades and a master of none.

Thank you kindly for everyone's help and for this website. I very much appreciate what you all do here.
