I think my PC is infected with some kind of virus/spyware/malware ( don't know which )
I download and try to install DivX player but after installation is complete, nothing is really installed.
Also i am unable to visit w**.espnstar.com, since two days ( can u tell me any free proxy site ?? )
the page says and my page is redirected to some h**p://pageinxt.com/?dn=www.espnstar.com&fp=rTsI3AgeePvNoN%2Fzpx2XZ17N1GHZvhbSOy9JBUyMgHq1Gnmp2s5XwhEWO276S3OvAjbbhqLA9Q32EbodB%2B9tmA%3D%3D&prvtof=wNShkpCk%2B7SlFogJOID3v7D%2BTdtk%2BrfM4iN25pVWgVY%3D&poru=o5E7F%2BMADwb28Iz6IusaLirUUzp8iiHG9vuOxmsZ6m8fiGE4goW2zlN84BUNqO5%2B0GjpkXbqEipANtW6shMU6iUDhJTBM8RU9guD52lop%2FY%3D&cifr=1&flrdr=yes&nxte=js. :inlove:
Error: Page cannot be displayed. Please contact service provider for more details. (5)

And although i use Mozilla Firefox (latest), IE (latest) doesn't function properly. It takes too much time to load a page and many sites open with some error.
Also i am unable to uninstall two Harry Potter Games. I double click the uninstall.exe file but nothing happens. I thought about deleting the folder itself but the registry keys won't be deleted then.
I use Original Windows Home Edition (2002) SP3, Original Norton Antivirus 2010.
Also everytime i switch on my modem to surf internet, svchost.exe and wuaucult.exe start and use up most of PC resources for about 10-15 mins  . I have 1 GB RAM yet i am unable to use any program in parallel when these two processes are running.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANKS A TON IN ADVANCE :trumpet:  :flowers:
RAVI

PS. is it okay if i use OpenDNS ???
will it affect me i any way??
THANKS AGAIN!!!

Hello.

I think it's best for your computer, to treat that infection. Just follow the steps on http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic34773.html (Preparation Guide For Use Before Using Malware Removal Tools and Requesting Help).

When post your DDS Log (+Gmer log):
  • Do not post it at this topic or this forum but on http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum22.html
  • Be patient, it's very busy at this forum.
  • A professional expert will view your logs and will help you with that problem.
  • Do not use tools (like ComoFix) without professional experience/helper.
Good luck.

Hello,

Now that you have posted a log here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic347007.html you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a MRT Team member, nor should you ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

From this point on the MRT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the MRT Team members are EXTREMELY busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the MRT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another MRT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.

Please be patient. It may take several days to get a response but your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible. I advise checking your topic once a day for responses as the e-mail notification system is unreliable.

To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic. Good luck with your log.
