Hello all,

This is my 1st post here. I understand that I may be able to obtain some help with a virus problem here.

I have a virus called "Win32/Alureon.H". MSE will not remove it, even in safe mode. I keep getting redirected to different pages. Can you advise what is needed to remove it.

My OS is XP Professional.

When trying to remove the virus MSE gave the following message:

Microsoft Security Essentials encountered the following error: Error code 0x80070032. The request is not supported.

Thank you & Regards,
sonrol

Hello.

I think it's best for your computer, to treat that infection. Just follow the steps on http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic34773.html (Preparation Guide For Use Before Using Malware Removal Tools and Requesting Help).

When post your DDS Log (+Gmer log):
  • Do not post it at this topic or this forum but on http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum22.html
  • Be patient, it's very busy at this forum.
  • A professional expert will view your logs and will help you with that problem.
  • Do not use tools (like ComoFix) without professional experience/helper.
Good luck.
