dont know if this is the right forum. I have an acer aspire one netbook (model 532h). I put a BIOS password on it, just for grins. And guess what, I have forgotten it now. Anyway I wanted to load up a new OS on it, windows 7, but the default setting in the bios is not set to read from an external cd drive (the laptop has no cd drive). So I need to get into bios to change it, but i cant remember the password to get into bios.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Per forum rules:

"No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences."

Since a BIOS password...is an obvious security measure installed on the system by the manufacturer...providing info on such would be a clear violation of forum rules.

This thread is now closed.
