Why does the iPad not support flash?

Can on future versions. Is adobe reader on any smartphone?

No flash on any apple mobile device.

No Flash because Apple and Adobe equals oil and water! Steve Jobs does not like flash nor does he like adobe, as Jobs calls flash "Flash is buggy and unsecure the future is with H.264 or HTML5"

There is a lot of speculation that Steve Jobs does not like Flash because Flash support would allow developers to create richer applications from inside the web browser, which means they would be able to bypass Apple's App Store.

Yeah, I think its ridiculous personally. Too much of the web runs on Flash to ignore it.

Yeah I agree I hate it when I visit a web site that has to have flash to work or part of the site requires flash on my iPod then I cannot view it because of this.
