Sleep mode problem

Hello guys at bleeping computer


I have a problem with my laptop. My Laptop is configured to go into sleep mode after its not in use.


How ever when it dose go into sleepmode it will not wake up again form any movement with the mouse are the keyboard.



And I always have to reboot by holding the power button down

What type of mouse and keyboard connection do you have? Is the keyboard or mouse a USB port connected device or are you connected to the computer via a PS2 type connection?

I am also curious what setting you have set in the motherboards BIOS settings.

Some BIOS setup utilities also have settings for sleep mode, that could possibly be conflicting with the settings in windows.

My parents computer has this exact same problem and I couldnt figure out how to fix it
