I am having constant problems during my browsing with Internet Explorer, with a box appearing saying, "Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close". After it closes, I reopen it and continue browsing. At some point in time it will go to a blue screen indicating my resources are low. I end up having to reboot. I do daily scans with Norton Antivirus (w/liveupdate) which shows no viruses; I have done Spybot S & D, MicroTrend Housecall and Adaware Alert scans, which show little or no spyware/adware. After I clean what little appears up, I still have the problem.

Here is my HijackThis log:

Welcome to BC forum.

The first thing you need to do is uninstall Adware Alert. "Spyware remover" of dubious repute - see the SpywareWarrior_List of Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites here. Just go to Start>Settings> Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs.

The Big Fish Games Toolbar is open to debate at this point. However, since you are having problems with your computer, I would remove it.

ErrorKiller is also associated with adware. You should uninstall it.

After completing the uninstalls, scan with Hijack This and put a checkmark next to the following entries if they are still present:

Close all windows and browsers and click "fix checked"
Please run the Housecall online virus scan located at:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
Follow the prompts to scan your hard drive for viruses. Select the "Autoclean" option so that Housecall will remove any viruses from your system.
When the scan is finished, please restart your computer.

Then please run the Panda scan here:
Active Scan Choose to "Disinfect automatically," and follow the prompts. Delete any viruses found, and restart your computer.
Have it delete anything it finds and post the scan report along with a new Hijack This log.

Finally, please run the WindowSecurity trojan scan here:
http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/
Remove any trojans found, and restart your computer.

Then, post another Hijack This log and let me know if you have difficulty with any of the scans
