Hi
I downloaded the longest journey some time ago using utorrent and now I have problem uninstalling it.
I went to add or remove programs and then tried to remove the game and a message came up saying that it seems the game has already been uninstalled and I can only remove the name of the game from the list I did that but when I went to my program files I saw that the game's file still exists so I tried to delete the file it self when a message poped up saying that renaming, moving or deleting this file could make some other programs not work.
what am I suppose to do?

Hello,

First reinstall utorrent, then download revo uninstaller Revo once you launch the program select utorrent and uninstall, follow the guide and do an advanced scan and it will remove everything that has to do with that program.

Hello shadowrenger,

Downloading games using utorrent is not only illegal, it is also a security risk for your computer!
  • Avoid gaming sites, pirated software, cracking tools, keygens, and peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing programs.
  • They are a security risk which can make your computer susceptible to a smörgåsbord of malware infections, remote attacks, exposure of personal information, and identity theft. Many malicious worms and Trojans spread across P2P file sharing networks, gaming and underground sites.
  • Users visiting such pages may see innocuous-looking banner ads containing code which can trigger pop-up ads and malicious Flash ads that install viruses, Trojans and spyware. Ads are a target for hackers because they offer a stealthy way to distribute malware to a wide range of Internet users.
  • The best way to reduce the risk of infection is to avoid these types of web sites and not use any P2P applications.
It is pretty much certain that if you continue to use P2P programs, you will get infected sooner or later.

Because you are obviously discussing here an illegal acquired game, I am going to close this topic; the reason for which is explained in BC's board rules to which you agreed when you created your useraccount:

No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences.

regards, Elise
