Please help,
I download music and when I try to play back individual tracks my laptop will only play one track at once.
In the left pane under the heading 'Music Tasks'where it says "Play selection - I am highlighting for example 6 tracks but it will only play one track at a time - at the end of each track I have to go to the screen and highlight another track for it to play.
I am sure this is 'operator error' and would appreciate any suggestions.

VLC is a superb media player in most respects, but it's playlist feature is positively crap. In VLC, click the View menu and then click "Playlist." This will open the playlist into which you can drag&drop the files you want to play.

Andrew,
TY. I have done that and yes the playlist is there but I still have the problem that only any one track is played. At the end of the track I have to highlight another track before it will play.

Cancel............I was transferring tracks individually ....doh!!!
Once I transferred the whole file, the playlist displayed them individually and then ran through the whole collection.
Many thanks.
