Problems with a redirect malware... Ran Combofix before I found the forums

My Windows XP computer is infected with some kind of Malware which prevents me from accessing the internet. Scanned with Kaperski Internet Security 2009 did not fix the problem. Malware prevents me from doing most everything with a popup saying I'm infected and asking me to do a system scan or purchase software. I heard about Combofix on another websight (searching for solutions on an un-infected machine). I am running it now. It has been running nearly an hour with two reboots. Preparing Log Report now.

Combofix completed, I have saved a copy of the log. My computer seems to be working fine. Firefox was not redirected and the icon for the fake security software has been removed. I would still like someone to look at the log if possible and help me to clean things up a little more. Thanks in advance

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at step 6.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Since you have run ComboFix, please include the ComboFix log in the new topic. Please be sure to include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to try to resolve them.


If you cannot produce any of the other logs, then please create the new topic anyway, include the information that you were unable to produce the other logs and why and include the ComboFix log along with a description of your computer issues.
