Lan check

I got handed a acer Aspire 3000. When it starts up it does a lan check and then it said no OS found and shuts down.I have'nt came across this before.Any help would be great thanks

I suppose it would mean there is no OS installed on the computer. Burn a live Linux distro disk and check the contents of the drive.

LAN Check: Some computers I've worked on have an option to boot from LAN. That's probably the reason the LAN check pops up.
