Okay, so here's my situation. I'm using a Lenovo T61. Originally, it was my dad's company laptop but my laptop was stolen along with some other things. Anyway, I have been using this company issued laptop ever since.

Here are some of its problems:

i) The capacity of the HDD is 100GB but there's only 24 GB free disk space, even though I have completely deleted my dad's previous work files.
ii) The Graphics driver of this laptop, is NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M. I recently downloaded DriverMax and it says my one needs to be updated and so I did. Only to be met with laggy graphics again.
iii) Before, the NVIDIA Graphics Driver would sometimes not run itself. When it does this, everything turns laggy.
iv) Sometimes, if I'm watching videos on Facebook Or Youtube, the laptop will crash and give me the "Blue Screen Of Death".
v) I ran Bootsafe last night and decided to run a virus scan. When I woke up the next day, the virus scan was terminated. I decided to defrag it, only it wouldn't defrag. By this I mean, the defragger refuses to run. I ran the JKDefrag and Defragler, and even the standard Windows Defrag, but no. It won't defrag.

Right now, my biggest problem is the Graphics. The graphics are really frustrating me because watching videos are a pain because now everything is laggy. And so is editing them.

So, please help me and solve this problem as soon as possible. Thank you.

Try running the chkdsk /r command on the system partition.

Start/Run...type chkdsk /r and hit Enter. Type Y in new screen and hit Enter. Reboot the system, the command will execute and then attempt to boot into XP.

Try running defrag after that.

Your malware thread in Am I Infected forum, http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic253350.html, has been given some attention today, you should check it.

Since you have an open malware thread to respond to...to prevent confusion, I am closing this thread.
