I've had this problem for weeks now (even after I restored my computer to factory defaults!)
The noise that plays when you open a folder plays randomly and when it does, the current active window deactivates. I've been looking around to see possible solutions and found someone with a very similar situation who had an infected MBR. I checked, and I do have Whistler/Black Internet. I'm sure the issues are related because the other person had the same problems as me; however, MBRCheck has been unable to write the MBR. Please, PLEASE help me. I need this computer for school and I don't exactly have the money to buy a new one.
Ps. I'm running XP SP2.
