USB key
disk-on-key
key chain drive
jump drive

"Memory Stick" is a Sony trademark name for their memory card. But like many other such
names (Xerox, Kleenex, etc) it has come into use to describe similar small memory devices.

(This just for Dollyeyes... that little memory thingy;)

What? they couldn't get key direct-drive to work?

Oh, the drive that goes on your key-chain - I get it!

Dollyeyes' names are so good - "That little memory thingy" - and I know exactly what she's talking about. Talk to me about an "Intelligent Stick" and I'd think you were a lunatic. :flowers:

Finger drive <== one of my english teachers actually called it this*
Miniture Portable USB device
Miniture Portable flash device

Just my 2 cents.

(* she forgot what it was called and said, "If you have your finger drive, er....(while student wispered it to her)... thumb drive, please use it to save your project to.)
