At first, I couldn't open windows explorer in start menu. then slowly but surely, I've not been able to open other programs (system information, incredimail, My Computer ...). These all work fine in safe mode though.
I've uninstalled everything that has been recently installed and reinstalled incredimail. Still won't open in windows even when navigating to the program directory. Google search didn't help any. Anyone got an Idea?

Are you getting any specific error messages.
Have you run any spyware or antivirus scans?
Have ya cleared your temp internet files and history lately?

Ran Scandisk, reg cleaner, system file checker (Inserted XP and repaired any DLLs), checked for broken *.exe association (ok), Spybot and Adaware. No error messages at all.

Have you tried last known configuration. I had something similar awhile back, sorry to say I never found the cause and wound up doing a restore to an earlier date.

Yes. I ran ZoneAlarm AV. No probs found. What I have discovered, though, is my Incredimail will work if I uninstall my USB drivers (but then I can't print). Also my start menu links (my docs, Pics, my computer...) will work if I have my taskbar properties set to show menu on those items instead of show links. Windows explorer and system information will not open no matter what. Even if I go to c:\program files\accessories\then the program. Only will open in safe mode.

Now Incredimail won't work, even with the USB drivers uninstalled. Looks like I may have to reinstall XP. I have ~60MB to back up though and was hoping to fix the prob.
