Hello, I'm new to the community. I hate to skip intros, but have a pressing problem. Computer is being hooked up to DSL as a self install. Followed instructions to the tee, but the process stopped 3/4 of the way through stating it had issues with my IE proxy settings. I've tried everything, and have spent 4 hours with tech support who could not resolve this. I'm pasting a HJT file here in case there's anything I should be concerned about, or that would give me a clue why the computer is not detecting the DSL connection.

Any help you could give would be most appreciated ! Thanks !

Hi Morganluver and Welcome to the Bleeping Computer!

I cant be 100% sure of this but it appears that this may be in the way

C:\Program Files\Internet Content Filter\TheApp.exe

I havent a clue what that is bu have a good idea its associated with this

O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'icf.dll' missing

Download a program called LSPfix. Here's the link where to get it:
http://cexx.org/lspfix.htm

Run the program and follow these directions:

1. Run LSPFix.
2. Check I know what I'm doing
3. Select all instances of icf.dll
4. Click the right-pointing arrow (moves it to the "remove" page).
5. Click Finished

Restart and try your installation again.
