I am a self taught 67 year old that has two hobbies - golf and computers. Many of my friends and neighbors want me to fix their computers when they really get it messed up. I have used dos, Windows thru XP, and now several Linux distros for the last 4 years. After all that I still consider myself a newbie, especially when it comes to Linux.

I am presently involved in trying to help a friend get rid of the antivirusgt malware on a business computer. I have been dealing with another forum so I won't cross post here. I have gotten rid of the malware but not 100%. It still has the browsers hijacked. I am on my way to install and run combofix and post back on the other forum. Most of the time friends are appreciative but that is it -- no pay. But what are friends for?
