First off, I'm on a Dell XPS 1330. I did all the steps in the checklist plus I ran checkdisk and McAfee Security Center full scan in safe mode.
As for the problem I experienced, I downloaded GMER and put it on my desktop. I opened GMER and it loaded up fine. I proceeded to uncheck the boxes per the guides instructions. I hit scan or whatever button to start the scan and it dumped to bluescreen. I restarted my machine and went to try it once more, this time my machine went to bluescreen without loading GMER at all.
Attached is the log of DDS that I was successfully able to run.
Note, this problem is totally unexpected, I began the process of maintaining my machine and came to BeepingComputer without a major problem, just to make sure there wasn't something causing any slowdown, which was not anything significant and I would not be surprised if I was just my imagination.
