[Just an FYI - this is NOT regarding the same computer that I am getting help for under another topic]

I saw in a post on bleepingcomputer.com that you could test your internet speed to see if you were getting the speed advertised by the provider. I would like to do that, but I cannot find the post now. Info, please?

In addition to speedtest which is mentioned several times, post #11 contains other speed test sites.

That is exactly the post I was looking for but could not find. Thank you!

Speedtest.net told me what I thought: I have serious issues with my internet at the moment. It's supposed to be download speed up to 768Kbps/upload up to 128Kbps. I'm getting 0.13Mbps down/0.11Mbps up. Ping is 69ms. Next test was 0.19Mbps down/0.11Mbps up, 79ms. I'm going to watch it and test it several times today before proceeding with anything else.

Thanks again!!

I should say - I know about the 1/8th speed rule. Normally I get MUCH faster results. I'd bet it's normally pretty close to 100% of the "up to" speeds. Today, it's ridiculously slow. Two hours for an email with a 2000kb attachment to go through and copy to my sent folder. Normally, that's less than 60 seconds.
