Hello,

This problem is occuring on every laptop connected to our Netgear Wireless router, so I'm not sure if it is maybe a virus in the router itself or what. The laptops are all running on either windows XP or Vista and use Mozilla Firefox to access web pages.

This does not happen everytime I use the internet, but it happens quite a bit and it is enough to have me completely fed up! If I do a web search on any search engine (yahoo, google, bing) and I choose a web site, many times it will take 3 tries to actually get to the web site. On the first few tries I am redirected to random spam web sites, really the only one I recall is 'Video Cop.com'. Also, sometimes I won't be redirected to a spam web site, rather it will tell me there is a DNS error or a 404 error, or will redirect me to 'mybrowserbar.com' and the web site can't be accessed. Upon repeatedly refreshing and reclicking on the web site I will finally make it there.

A lot of times when I try to get onto facebook, I'll type it in the address bar and I'll get the same DNS or 404 errors and will have to continually retype and refresh it until it brings me to facebook, so the problem isn't only when I use search engines, its when I try to manually access web sites myself also.

Another thing that happens: This occurs when I click on a link or sometimes I'll be on the website that I want to be on and it will redirect me to these other web sites. It will either redirect me to a spam web site such as the 'video cop.com or mybrowserbar.com' or it will bring me to a blank page that continuously tries to load and on the bottom address bar it will say 'surveys.cnet.com'.

These are really really annoying and it is probably some bad type of malware and I can't take it anymore! I've tried malwarebytes, superantimalware. I'm not sure what else to try. I've googled the surveys.cnet.com and the mybrowserbar.com and apparently other people experience this problem but I haven't been able to find a solution.

Please help
